Empower Counseling offers Intensive-In-Home therapy to work to strengthen children and their family’s connection, relationship, and overall well-being. From time to time, families encounter challenges and need help developing tools to navigate those experiences.
The goal is to work with children and their families to strengthen their ability, knowledge, and skills. We will work collaboratively with the family and their support system to help the family remain intact within their community.
The provider will meet with the child and their family within their living environment to identify goals, enhance the family’s strengths, and build skills to improve their interactions and decrease the need for higher levels of care. Together, we hope to build strong and resilient families.

Brittney is our Intensive In Home Therapist, and is a North Dakota Licensed Bachelor Social Worker. They received their degree through Minot State College. Brittney has experience working with youth and families who are at-risk, involved in the child welfare system, have adopted, and are part of the school district.
Brittney’s approach in their profession is identifying strengths of individuals and families and building on them. Conflict within a family is expected and can be exhausting. Sometimes we just need a reminder that family is a place where members feel safe enough to express their true feelings, good or bad. Brittney believes all individuals and families can overcome struggles with the right supports in place.
When Brittney is not working they enjoy spending time with their family (partner, five kids, four cats), going thrifting, listening to music and going to concerts, sketching, and binging on terrible reality shows and documentaries.
