Empower Counseling created the Open Empowerment Counseling Program to provide quality, accessible counseling to meet the needs of clients seeking mental health services that are uninsured and low income.
There is no charge or insurance required for the service.
Open Empowerment Counseling services will be provided by a skilled Masters Level Graduate Student for the duration of their internship.
Caity is a graduate student at the University of North Dakota and is completing a Master’s degree in Social Work. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Mary in 2014. Caity has experience working with survivors of domestic and sexual violence, people with disabilities, the geriatric population, and public assistance.
Caity believes clients are the experts of their own lives and in working collaboratively towards a client’s identified goals and values. She takes a strength-based approach and utilizes humor, honesty, and creativity to make a plan for treatment specific to each client’s needs.
When Caity has a rare break from school and homework, she enjoys traveling, drinking fancy coffee, spending time with friends and family, watching obscure documentaries, volunteering, and hanging out with cats (dogs and rabbits are also involved at times).
