Open EMPOWERMENT Counseling Services is currently taking clients for a waitlist

OPEN EMPOWERMENT COUNSELING

Empower Counseling created the Open Empowerment Counseling Program to provide quality, accessible counseling to meet the needs of clients seeking mental health services that are uninsured and low income.


There is no charge or insurance required for the service. 

A closer look at a pathway in the countryside

Open Empowerment Counseling services will be provided by a skilled Masters Level Graduate Student for the duration of their internship. 

  •   The therapist will receive regular supervision with with onsite supervisor with 15+ years of experience. 
  •  The therapist will meet the client where they are at, and work towards the goals they identify together. 
  •  Diversity of each client is valued and respected.
  • Therapist will create a supportive partnership with client’s identified supports, provider, and team. 

Meet ASHLEA...

 

Ashlea is currently a graduate student at Walden University seeking her Master of Social Work degree. She has her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Minnesota State University Moorhead and is licensed in North Dakota.


Ashlea has experiencing working with all ages from birth to adulthood in a variety of different settings. She hopes to bring a safe space for all where they can feel valued and respected. She brings an open-minded approach and is dedicated to supporting others reach their mental health goals.


Outside of her education and professional endeavors, you can find Ashlea staying busy with her three children and husband. She also enjoys spending time with other family and friends. She loves to watch movies, favorite tv shows, and read in her downtime.

Meet Corina...

Corina is currently a graduate student at the University of North Dakota seeking her Master of Social Work. She has earned two bachelor’s degrees: one in Social Work from Minot State University, and one in Human Development and Family Science from North Dakota State University. She received both in May of 2022.

Corina has experience working with ages 4 to adulthood in many settings. She holds the utmost respect for diversity and believes that our differences are what make us special. She hopes to create a safe and comfortable space for all to feel welcome. She approaches therapy with an open mind and heart, embracing the idea that there's no 'one-size-fits-all' solution. Corina brings an energetic, hopeful, and humorous outlook to the therapy process.

Outside of her education and professional endeavors, Corina enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She has a 14-year-old little white dog named Tiny that she would do literally anything for. She loves all types of music (but loves r&b), dancing, any movie made in the 90s or 2000s, traveling, and reading (mostly fiction).
